The Adventures of Ruby Murray

Follow us as we drive [each other mad] in a our little pimped-up rickshaw 'Ruby Murray'.

This is a pre-wedding [honeymoon] adventure to India. We figure, if we survive this we'll be in good stead for a life-time together.

Please show us your support by joining our list of followers (just click link on right).

N.B. You'll need an online account so that you can post comments, so if you don't have one just create a google one. Also, please make your profile public, otherwise even we won't see that you are supporting us.

The Rickshaw Challenge

We invite you to [virtually] join us on our journey as we rampage across the Indian countryside.

This charity race is run by a crew called 'Rickshaw Challenge'. You can read up about the race at www.rickshawchallenge.com but better still watch the video footage of a previous race.

The race starts on July 31st and ends on August 13th. There are 12 stages to the race which takes us from Chennai on the east coast, past Goa on the west coast and finishes in Mumbai.

We'll be traveling the Mumbai Express route which takes us through every ecological zone in the mist of the August Monsoon season.

So if we don't get stopped by cows we fully expect to be washed away by a flash flood!

Ruby Murray T-Shirts

Obviously it is very important to have the right attire for any form of long distance travel....

And to wear it well...

... and ensure you are co-ordinated with your fellow team mate...

Map

We've also made it easy to track us on our route. We'll post where we are on a daily basis, with a pink tuk tuk to indicates where we are (currently the start line) and a blue one to show where we are heading next.

Donate to India

Now, we're doing this adventure in the name of charity.

The charity we'll be supporting is called Round Table India and the plan is to adopt the villages that we will pass through on our travels. At the end of the trip we will get to decide how the money is to be spent on the people we have met along the way.

If you would like to make a donation then we'd like to give you a little gift by way of thanks. For donations of AU$50 or more we'll be able to send you a souvenir stubby holder in the post.

If $50 is too much then any size donation will be a BIG help to the LITTLE people [children] of India so please don't be shy in helping out where you can.

Please add a post to this message to let us know that you'd like to help out and show others your support and we'll personally email you with details of how to deposit funds thereafter.

Support Crew

And not forgetting to thank the Perth Support Crew, who helped us kick start Ruby Murray with a ruby murray [curry] to get our deli belly's ready for a whole new world of 'experience'. [imodium tablets packed, check!] ;)
